Our primary interest is to understand the chemical control of behavior.

We are especially interested in nematodes, a remarkable group of animals that live in almost every ecological niche and parasitize virtually all plants and animals.

Our research is highly interdisciplinary and utilizes tools from biology, chemistry, physics, and engineering.

Major projects include:

• Identification of pheromones in nematodes and nematode chemical ecology

• Development of novel NMR technology for natural products chemistry.
